DESCRIPTION |
HEAD: |
Proportionate to the body; having a certain resemblance to that of a bear. |
SKULL: |
Wide, convex, with the upper longitudinal axel divergent with regard to the back of the snout, and the occipital apophysis is hardly visible. The forehead's crease is medium not very pronounced placed between the eyes and a little above them; the supersciliary arcs aren't very marked, slight stop. |
SNOUT: |
Straight profile, shorter than the skull, not very wide and with a round back. |
TRUFFLE: |
Oval, with the end slightly truncated and dark colored. |
LIPS: |
Thin, firm, overlapping, well lined, slightly round in the upper part and somewhat curved on the lower one. |
JAWS: |
Ling a tong, strong and very muscular. |
EYES: |
Small, oval, dark, placed horizontally with very colored eyelids and a serene look. |
EARS: |
Medium inserted, placed at a lightly higher level than the eyes; small triangular, the same length as the medium axel, hanging on the sides of the head and don't move much. When alert they lift a little at the base, but they remain down and folded in a vertical way. |
BODY: |
Strong, muscular, long voluptuous and slight concave. Straight neck, short, strong, with a discrete and wide double chin. Long back, straight or slightly saddled. Loins of medium length, straight, wide very muscular and slightly convex. |
HINDQUARTERS: |
Slightly inclined, proportioned to the structure, medium length, wide and tall. Broad but not very visible chest, falling, wide and deep, with an almost horizontal sternum and straight ribs, slightly arched. |

FRONT EXTREMITIES: |
Strong, separate, aplomb from all angles and well muscled. Strong shoulders; medium, separated, somewhat inclined, well developed muscular and in an open angle. Vertical foreleg; long, strong and muscular. Strong metacarpus, of medium length and slightly inclined. Long feet, flat and well closed, with thick and slightly arched toes, strong nails, with the color according to the coat, and resistant and thick pads. |
FRONT EXTREMITIES: |
Strong, separate and well aplomb from all sides. Long thighs, not visibly muscular. Muscular leg, or medium length and inclination. Normally angled hocks. Thin tarsus, of medium length and height. Strong metatarsus, of medium length and slightly inclined. It can have a double or single spur. |
TAIL: |
Thick, of medium insertion; long curved at the tip but not entwined. At rest it falls bellow the spurs and in action it can curl up. |
COAT: |
Black, lion, yellow or with white spots, bi-color, roan or stripped. Fairly thick skin, not very loose, with the internal and external mucous membranes partially or completely black. Short or medium hair, thick, smooth and dense, dispersed uniformly throughout the whole body including between the toes. |
SIZE & WEIGHT: |
From 66 to 74 cm on males and 64 to 70 cm on females. Around 60 kg for males and females no more than 55 kg. |
